I know I am not the brightest light on the tree, but really, what is going on with the media, the prez and the GOP candidates?
The media has not reported many stories that would hurt the Prez. That I understand, because they are controlled by (under the spell of) the administration. I submit two items I never saw reported:
The Vets in Florida protesting at the Democrat Committee building because they were flying an American flag that had, in the place of the 50 stars, a photo of Obama.
The second is the report from the Congressional Budget Office, that estimated the new Health Care Law would cost 2 trillion dollars. If I remember correctly, the whole idea of the law was to provide coverage for those 400,000 who did not or couldn’t be covered. It now seems it will cost the taxpayers 5 million dollars to cover each of those 400,000.
Next, the Prez, is saying it is not his fault for the high gas prices. It’s the congress’ and the GOP for not letting him throw good money after bad investing in “green” energy. Forget about those companies he already lent money to that went belly up. He says we are producing more oil than ever and that’s not bringing the gas prices down. If by “we” he means private industry he’s right, but he has blocked the drilling for oil on federal land and the gulf, as well as stopping the Keystone pipeline.
This is not old stuff. Every Democrat Prez and congress have stopped the expansion of oil exploration. Had we started 10 years ago to “drill baby drill”, we would not be relying on any other country for oil, so you will hear that story over and over. It would not do us any good to drill because it would take 10 years or more. Then there is the stupid belief that tapping the strategic oil reserves would lower gas prices.
Finally, the GOP and it’s war on women. Can anyone really believe the GOP hates women? They represent over half of the voting population. The Dems are using women as a political football and using contraceptives and abortion as their way of proving the GOP is against women. I would hope women are smarter than that. I would hope women would be able to separate Democratic/Media propaganda, half truths, and out of context 10-year-old speeches, from the facts. Problem is, we all will have to find the facts in places other than the media.
Of more concern are the races in the house and senate. If the American people re-elect those senators and congressmen who voted for the health care reform act, we as a nation, deserve all the pain and suffering which will result. I do hope those 9 folks reviewing the law have better common sense than those who wrote and voted for it.
