The I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force arrested a 45-year-old man Friday afternoon, after he had received synthetic marijuana in the mail.
Task Force Commander Lt. Jim Norton says United States Postal inspectors intercepted a package that contained ‘potpourri’ that was mailed to Somchai Ditsunon,back in December. The package was turned over to the Drug Task Force for testing.
Then on Friday afternoon another package of potpourri that was being sent by mail to Ditsunon was intercepted and then delivered.
A search warrant was obtained for Ditsunon’s home at 1417 Derby. Recovered were 320 grams of potpourri with a street value of $9,600, more than $1,000 cash in drug proceeds, baggies, and digital scales.
The package of potpourri that was seized last winter had a street value of $6,000.
Ditsunon was booked into the Saline County Jail on charges that included attempted distribution of hallucinogens distribution of hallucinogens, possession of drug paraphernalia,proceeds from sale of controlled substance, and no drug tax stamp.
