A 24-year-old Salina man was booked into jail Monday afternoon on several charges including outstanding warrants, after running from officers responding to a disturbance.
At around 1:30 pmMonday afternoon, police responded to a home in the north end of Salina on the report of a domestic disturbance.
As officers arrived, Shane Allen ran from the house and went into an old creek bed in the area of two trailer parks before being taken into custody without incident 20 minutes later in the area of the creek bed at the end of North 12th street.
Lt. Scott Siemsen says that the disturbance involved Allen forcibly taking a ring from a female acquaintance.
Charges requested against Allen include aggravated robbery for taking the ring by force, battery, theft, and obstruction.
