Release From Kansas National Organization for Women.

Salina, KS- On Saturday, April 21st Kari Ann Rinker, State Coordinator and Lobbyist for the Kansas National Organization for Women, will embark on a whirlwind tour of Salina, addressing several different audiences over a two day period.

“In this anti-choice climate where the Kansas state legislature is constantly attempting to curb and undermine women’s rights and freedoms, I am excited for the opportunity to speak out on such important topics as reproductive rights and healthcare access for the women of Kansas. Its important for people to know that women’s rights advocates and supporters are capable of changing public policy. This is possible both in our local communities and at the
state level. There are several measures still pending in Topeka.

A Meet and Greet at the Ad Astra Books & Coffee House, 141 N Sante Fe Ave on April 21st at 7:00 P.M. where Ms Rinker will provide a 2012 legislative update & invites you to learn more about how women & men are organizing for equality, right here in Kansas!

Ms Rinker will then wrap up her tour at the Salina Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church (901 Beatrice-one block west of Ohio on Martin St.) Sunday service, on April 22nd the theme being Equality, Justice and Dignity: These Pivotal Times in the Kansas Fight for Women’s Freedom and Autonomy.
