On April 25th, 2012 I stopped to help a car at the corner of 5th st. and Stimmell Rd., a gravel road intersection. The nose of the car was over a drainage pipe and the back end was in the air about 2 ft hanging in the road on 5th st.
At the time I was parked in the middle of Stimmell Rd. with my flashers on.
It was about 8:45 pm when a sheriff’s deputy came up to the intersection going west on Stimmell Rd. He slowed down at the stop sign and drove around my truck without stopping to see if it was an accident or to see if anyone was hurt.
You would think he would at least stop and run his lights so no one would run into us. So much for protect and serve!
If he had seen someone drinking or leaving a bar, you know he would have stopped.
