A 54-year-old Salina man was hit over the head with a blunt object and had his bicycle stolen early Friday morning at a north Salina motel.
Salina Police Department Lt. Scott Siemsen said at 1:47 a.m. Friday, Charles Isenhood rode his bike to the Airliner Motel, 781 N. Broadway, to buy a soda from the pop machine. When he arrived, he was pushed off his bike, struck in the head and a white male suspect took off with his 26-inch green and black Huffy 10-speed mountain bike.
The suspect is described as being in his mid-20s, about 5 ft.-10 in. tall, 160 pounds with short brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt with a green stripe.
Siemsen said another suspect was also at the scene, but did not participate in the robbery. That person is described as being 18 to 19-years old and of similar build to the initial suspect, but with longer black hair.
