It didn’t take a thief long to make off with a 27 speed touring bike from in front of a downtown Salina business Tuesday.

25-year-old Matthew Wygal of Salina says he placed his Gold “Fuji” touring bike in the rack in front of Ad Astra Books at 141 N. Santa Fe around 1:45p.m.

Five minutes later when he came out of the business, the bike was gone.

The bike had not been secured.
