SOUND OFF

1. The citizens of Topeka are challenging the rates their water dept charges, I can’t believe the citizens of Salina haven’t? It’s a racket and they have no flexibility in rates!

2. While you were all distracted and fighting over the gay ordinance, Gov. Brownback and his GOP legislative buddies just passed a law that is going to leave KS with an  $800 million deficit in 2014. Say bye bye to your job if you work for any public entity.

3. What about all the “handicapped” huge people using the spots that should be reserved for those of us who really do need them for reasons other than their weight and lack of initiative to  get healthy and employment.

4. Why fill up the jail and prisons over some weed but let people that have killed out free? Legalize marijuana and stop making it a crime. There is worse going on than people smoking weed.

5. The bubble idea for smokers is genius!

6. The nanny state has spread to our adult softball leagues! I’ve been playing for nearly 20 years and I’m amazed at how the parks and rec has restricted everything fun about playing. The nanny state is spreading folks.

7. We have real crime going on in Salina and the cops are handing out tickets to hardworking people heading home from work, for not wearing their seatbelts. Ridiculous!

8. Can we please do something about all the old men on those stupid reclining bikes? Can’t see em, gonna hit one!
