D.E.A. agents arrest a Hollywood, California man after cocaine is found on a plane at the Salina Municipal Airport.

According to Task Force Commander Lt. Jim Norton, agents from the D.E.A. requested help from Salina’s Task Force in searching an aircraft that had flown in from California and landed at the Salina Municipal Airport on September 27th.

After being alerted by a drug-detection canine, a search revealed 105-pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of about $2.3 million dollars.

The cocaine was seized but D.E.A. agents allowed the two passengers and two pilots to re-board the plane and fly out of Salina.

D.E.A. agents arrested Charles Ransom of Hollywood, California in connection to the case on multiple drug charges in California. The two pilots are not under investigation.
