A small plane headed for Kansas from Lake Wales in central Florida crashed in a wooded area not long after taking off on Thursday.

A spokesman for the family says the victims are Ron and Becky Bramlage and their four children.  The Bramlages’s own an investment company in Junction City, and Mrs. Bramlage is the president of the local school board.

Fox News in Tampa Bay reports the plane had taken off from

St. Lucie County International Airport just after noon and was headed to Kansas. But not long into the flight, the plane veered off its flight plan.
