Charles Earl Rucker, 68, of Salina, passed away Saturday, June 16th, at his home.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 14, 1943, to the late Inez C. (Harrison) and Charles  B. Rucker.

Charlie was a high school graduate and attended some college.  He was a past member of the U.S. Army National Guard.  He was also a member of the Junior Old Timers of the Union Pacific Railroad; the National Rifle Association; the United Transportation Union, and the National Hot Rod Association .

He attended Cornerstone Community Church in Salina.  Charlie was the husband of Carol Ann (Postlethwaite) Rucker.

He is survived by his wife;  daughter, Jayme and her husband Lee Shank, of Salina; sister Cheryl Leshaw, of California; as well as grandchildren; Melissa, Jacob, Tayler, Bradley, and Addison.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Scott Rucker.

A funeral service will be held at at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20th,  with Pastor David Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be from 9 am – 6 pm Tuesday, June 19th  at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions May be made to the Saline County Dialysis of Salina, 700 E. Iron, Salina, Kansas 67401.

Herbert W. Nash, 91, of Salina, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. He was born March 29, 1921, in Salina, the son of Walter and Flora (Koepke) Nash.

Herbert owned and operated Central Cabinet and Fixture Co. in Salina for many years. He was also a sales representative, most recently for Salina Concrete Products. He was a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and a long-time member of the Salina Municipal Band and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marjorie Jolley, Pauline Johnson and Lois Frederick.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Edna Mae (Trumble) Nash, of Salina; son, Dexan Nash, of Salina; daughter, Pamela Neiswender and significant other Tony Sanchez, of Salina; grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Elmer and children Chase and Chance of Phoenix, Ariz., Amanda Neiswender and children Kade Ingram and Joseph Sharp, of Salina, and Jaime (Kyle) Anthony, of Kansas City, Mo.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, with family present from 5-7 p.m. Memorials are to the Kansas Soldiers’ Home, Fort Dodge.
