Saline County District Judge Daniel Hebert ruled there was probably cause to bind Dustin L. Ringle, 25, over for trial on a charge of reckless second-degree murder for the death of a passenger in his car. Meghan C. Will, a 23 yr old KSU sophomore, died when the car driven by Ringle slammed into a driveway culvert north of Salina at a high-rate of speed.
Nineteen beer cans were collected from the ditch and road surrounding the wrecked car. Ringle was also driving with a suspended driver’s license, after a previous charge of driving under the influence. He had a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit within hours of the crash.
