MINNEAPOLIS — Juanice Flo Zadina was born Feb. 11, 1926, in Montrose, Kan., to Joseph and Mary (Wambsganss) Fall. She departed this life Sunday, June 24, 2012, at 3:20 p.m. at Minneapolis Good Samaritan Center at the age of 86.
Mrs. Zadina attended school at Friends Academy, in Northbranch, Kan., which closed in 1942, and completed her education in Burr Oak. After graduation, she worked for McCarthy Hardware in Mankato, and Crown Drug, Weeks and IGA in Salina for a number of years.
After moving to Minneapolis, she had a child care home which she enjoyed very much, but had to close due to poor health. She was married to Emil J. Zadina on Dec. 23, 1943. To this union six children were born.
Juanice was preceded in death by her husband, Emil J. Zadina, and daughter-in-law, Peggy Zadina. She is survived by her children, Jay (Bonnie) Zadina, of Ypsilanti, Mich., John (Roberta) Zadina, of Smolan, Ben Zadina, of Salina, Ann Loretta Zadina, of Salina, Lanny (Vicki) Zadina, of Minneapolis, and Rebecca Choitz, of Salina; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Josephine Wolf, of Texas.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at Free Methodist Church in Minneapolis, with interment in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minneapolis EMS.

Phyllis Maxine Birdsong, 82, of Salina, died Sunday, June 24, 2012. She was born May 7, 1930, in Glen Elder. She was a secretary for USD 305 in Salina. Phyllis married James Birdsong on Nov. 9, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1989. She also was preceded by her mother and father, Mildred and Howard Kreitzer.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Doug (Penny) Birdsong, and David (Becky) Birdsong, all of Salina; her sister, Connie Willey, of Ocala, Fla.; her grandchildren, Brooke Birdsong, Bret (Brandy) Birdsong, Cory (Kristin) Birdsong, Dustin (Denae) Birdsong and Jerry (Tara) Birdsong; and her great-grandchildren, Kayden, Brigham, Grady, Moxie Grace, Cadence, Annaleice, Treygan, Ruxton and Madison.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where the family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at First United Methodist Church, Salina. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church.

Louise Felder, 75, of Salina, KS, passed away Saturday, June 23rd, at Holiday Resort.
Louise was born in Columbia, MS on October 11, 1936, to the late Lillie Mae and Etherie Barnes.
She worked as a In-Home Caregiver.
She attended of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
Loise was the wife of Charles Felder, and she attended St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
Louise is survived by her husband; daughters, Mary Marshall, of Salina, Kansas; Gail Adams, of Rockford, Illinois; Mattie Corley, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Linda Rivera, of Orlando, Florida; and Brenda Darby, of Aurora, Colorado; sons Julius Darby, of Trinidad, Colorado; Gary Darby, of Manhattan, Kansas; Eddie Darby, of Wakefield, Kansas; and Craig Darby, of Salina, Kansas; stepson,Earl Gray, of Aurora, Colorado; sister, Dorothy Guliford, of Salina; as well as 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister, and her grandparents.
Visitation will be Saturday 10 am to 2 pm at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30th, with Rev. Allen D. Smith officiating.

Wanda Bethel Warnow daughter of Albert and Nancy Hubbard was born November 8, 1917, in Minneapolis, Kansas. Wanda passed peacefully on June 23, 2012, at the Cloud County Medical Center in Concordia, Kansas. She was 94 years old.
Wanda, the youngest of 9 children, who grew up on a farm near Minneapolis, Kansas, has always enjoyed being part of a large family. Wanda went to beauty school at a young age and owned her own beauty shop in Bennington, Kansas, by the time she was 18. Wanda was united in marriage to Ralph Leroy Warnow of Salina, Kansas, on November 8, 1935, at the Methodist parsonage in Minneapolis. Ralph and Wanda settled into a life of farming five miles north of Minneapolis in 1951, until moving to Minneapolis in 1987. Wanda also worked as a nurse’s aide at the hospital in Minneapolis; she was a member of the United Methodist Church; she loved to entertain and cook; she was an avid seamstress who designed and made most of her daughters’ clothing; she belonged to a card club; and was a former member of the Eastern Star.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Warnow; her granddaughter, Josie Freeman; and her siblings Darrel Hubbard, Doris Merryfield, Reva Struthers, Faye Haddock, Ethel Hamilton, Florence Davis Thompson, Floyd Hubbard, and John Hubbard.
Survivors include two daughters; Kaye Shoulders of Oklahoma City, and Constance Laughlin of Redding, CA; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 4 step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Wilson Family Funeral Home in Minneapolis, with Pastors Michele McHenry and April Wegehaupt officiating. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Minneapolis.
