Riley County Police Department officials have filed a report against a 20-year-old Riley resident for aggravated child endangerment after she and her newborn tested positive for methamphetamine.

The newborn has been taken into protective custody.

The 20-year-old mother gave birth to the child on Friday, June 22. If a judge agrees to the report, police will be granted a warrant to arrest the mother. Her identity has yet to be released.
