Fireworks Fail in San Diego…20 Minutes of Fireworks in 20 Seconds

Have you ever wondered what might happen if a 20 minute fireworks show suddenly all went off at once?

I have to admit, I have.

In fact, we talked about that when we were watching the 20 minute show in Ellsworth this past weekend.  That show was fantastic with the lightning from a not so distant storm in the background.  “How would it be if all these went off at once!?”, I said.

Well, as it turns out, that’s exactly what happened in San Diego for their annual 4th of July celebration “Big Bay Boom”

According to reporters on the scene, “It shook the whole building. I thought it was a bomb or someone was shooting everybody,” said Teagan Hamblin, a Kansas resident who was visiting San Diego. “Car alarms, every kind of noise came on. It was really unexpected.”

After the explosion, the crowd went quiet as everything went dark, spectators said.

However, the music synchronized to go with the fireworks played on, according to Hamblin.
