The Salina Eagles (17-10) cruised to a victory at James Matson Field against McPherson with a steady supply of runs through four innings, then held on for a 6-3 victory.

Eagles scored six runs through four innings building a 6-0 lead.  Drew Hilt who picked up the victory was backed up by Colin Blackim, Cody Walters, and Sam Mermis who each had two hits.

The second game of the double header was postponed until Wednesday July 11 because of lightning that came into the area.  The Eagles have two double headers left until the regular season of American Legion Baseball concludes.  Monday the Eagles go to Newton for a 6 p.m. double header and Thursday conclude with a double header at Manhattan.  The Class Zone A tournament will begin after.
