A 42-year-old homeless man has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, and disorderly conduct, after being caught going through different areas in a west Salina motel Saturday morning.

Timothy Johnson is accused of going through dishes of candy that was set out for a wedding reception at the Ramada Inn at 1616 W. Crawford. Johnson also stole two 20 ounce bottles of Mt. Dew from an employee of the motel in the laundry room, and also tried to get into the room of a guest.

This all occurred between 6:30am and 10:00am.

A description of the suspect was given to police who found Johnson sitting by the Hickory Hut across the street from the motel.
