A 36-year-old Salina man is in a Wichita hospital with head injuries after falling from a moving pickup Wednesday evening.

Deputy Police Chief Carson Mansfield says the investigation into what exactly happened continues.

It is believed that Fredrick Cook fell from the pickup bed while trying to secure furniture including a mattress, when he for unknown reasons fell from the pickup bed onto E. Crawford, near the intersection of Holly Road about 8:30pm.
