On January 10, City Commissioner Tom Arpke, will take his place in the Kansas Legislature, leaving one seat on the Salina City Commission. Commissioners are now discussing options to fill the seat, leaning towards selecting a past commissioner.

With only 9 commission meetings left before the next session, there is also the option of leaving the seat vacant.

Anyone interested in serving should fill out an interest form at the city clerk’s office.
