Sen. Pat Apple and three other Senators, Jeff King, Bob Marshall and Dwayne Umbarger, are being the front persons for setting up a regional planning organization (RTO). It is called Together We Succeed: Southeast Kansas Economics Improvement Initiative (TWS). TWS has set up Project 17 (P-17) to create a “Permanent Organizational Structure” to facilitate bringing better “Health and Economic Development (prosperity)” to 17 counties in South Eastern Kansas (SEK).
In kind funding of $1 million (“leadership” training) is being supplied by the Kansas Leadership Council (KLC) which was set up by the Kansas Health Foundation. Gov. Brownback put $500,000 in his budget for P-17. Consulting and community engagement is being supplied by the Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI) and Burns & McDonnell (BM). Brownback and reps of RUPRI and BM spoke at a TWS Economic Summit in support of this regionalism. (Brownback has put on at least 9 different economic summits around Kansas.)
Each of these organizations, KLC, KHF, BM and RUPRI, are all promoting the U.N.’s Sustainable Development (SD) and in some cases making big bucks from it. Brownback is and has supported other Sustainable Development projects in Kansas.
SD is a socio-economic theory that asserts that health, happiness and prosperity is only achieved when all are harmonized with an under the dominion of the environment. Yes this is contrary to the Judo-Christian philosophy of man being dominate over Earth and all living things on Earth.) Under this concept humans and especially those in the western world are abusing the environment by utilizing it in a manner that is not “sustainable” for nature and in a manner which is inequitable for / unfair to our fellow global citizens and nature itself i.e., lacks social equity. To be “sustainable” for nature it can only be subsistence for mankind.
To accomplish this objective of harmony with nature the apostles of SD facilitate the creation of regional governance organizations to implement the policies which will lead to SD. These councils will lead us to sustainable communities, sustainable regions, sustainable medicine and it goes on and on. All of these are under way in Kansas.
These regional councils were known as soviets in the U.S.S.R. They further remove the citizens from control over their government and thereby give the government more control over the citizens. They are required for central planning and control of the economy.
I have spoken to patriot groups in Oklahoma, California, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and this is the exact same un-American nonsense that is going on there as well. That is why I say that Pat Apple and friends are the “front persons” for P-17. They at best have been duped and at worse are accomplices in this scheme to establish these regional soviet councils.
Last session the Kansas House denounced this deceptive and Liberty robbing project of the U.N. as did the RNC in a Resolution to
Yes Sen. Pat Apple and the other politicians involved who have taken an oath to protect the Constitution and to represent the citizens, are helping to create a system that is completely opposite of the Republican government required by the Constitution and setting up a “soviet” that will lessen We the People’s control of the government even more.
Pat’s promise of “Health and Property” rings hollow like the promises of “a chicken in every pot” an “Arbeit macht frei” (work will set you free). They are mere diversion while your Liberty and your pocketbook are being lifted.
I have been going to Topeka to keep an eye on our elected officials since 2006 or 07. I am not sure what is more distasteful those that undermine our Liberty and pick our pockets out of self interest or out of ignorance and laziness. I guess it doesn’t really matter they are all bad apples. And, Pat we do not need any more bad apples in Topeka.
