I want you to think about this for a minute. You have a Provider Class and a Recipient class. In 1984 14.8% of Americans didn’t have a federal tax liability, today its 49.5% that have no tax liability. What does this mean? This means that when an American worker files their tax return they get everything back or more than they paid in back in federal withholding. It also means fewer American are carrying the load for the rest.
What does this mean in reality? It means they contribute nothing for the defense of America, nothing to the national parks, nothing to run the government, basically nothing that is funded by federal income tax. I would assume they have no state tax liability as well, so they don’t fund those things which use state income taxes. Yet they consume the vast majority of the money paid into the system. What is going to happen when the Provider Class of this country gets tired of carrying the water for everyone else and get tired of all those that contribute NOTHING and complain when they are asked to contribute a little? Where are they going to get their free lunch from then??
Ever had a poor person provide you with employment? Fact is people who have wealth will risk it to expand or invest in new ventures, if the conditions are favorable to do so. If not, they will just sit on their wealth and weather out the uncertainty.
Now with all the freebies the recipient class gets that they don’t pay for, what should we as a society expect in return? I mean, simply because somebody exists shouldn’t create a debt for someone else.
Just something to consider.
