A Belleville couple were killed in a single vehicle rollover accident, 3 miles south of Concordia on U.S. 81, shortly after 1:15 pm Monday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 72-year-old Margaret A. Hawkins and 73-year-old Frederick J. Hawkins were southbound on U.S. 81 in the passing lane when their vehicle left the west side of the roadway, crossed Noble Rd and rolled in the west ditch.
Both Frederick Hawkins and Margaret Hawkins were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
