A 50 year old Solomon woman is arrested on possible charges of unlawfully obtaining and distributing a prescription drug and aggravated endangerment of a child.
According to a news release from the Dickinson County Sheriffs Office, on Wednesday, deputies were sent to Abilene Memorial Hospital and the Solomon Middle School for cases of possible overdose.
Two girls ages 13 and 15 had allegedly received pills of the prescription drug Geodon, from Francis Jamison at her home in Solomon around 1:00am Wednesday morning.
Both girls were treated and turned over to family members.
Jamison is currently in the Dickinson County Jail .
Geodon is a brand name for ziprasidone, an antipsychotic drug that effects brain chemicals. It is used to alleviate and/or treat symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Geodon may be prescribed for other reasons.
