Video released last week by Salina Police of a man using a financial card that did not belong to him, has led to the man’s arrest.
40-year-old Brandon Pruitt was arrested Tuesday on 3 counts of criminal use of a financial card, 1 count of felony theft by deception, and 1 count of theft of lost or mislaid property.
Pruitt is alleged to have taken a Wal-Mart gift card valued at $70 from the victim’s mailbox.
Pruitt then used the card on three different occasions between September 14th and September 15th.
Using the card three times within a 72 hour period made the theft a felony.
A friend of the victim recognized Pruitt on the video and contacted police.
