The Beloit Trojans made their last case for the NCAA League Championship last week, defeating the Southeast of Saline Trojans 62-13. Beloit took the opening kick-off to the house for a fast start and never looked back to improve their record to 6-0. An exciting week is on tap for the NCAA schools as everyone in 3A will start district play.
Southeast of Saline (3-3) @ Sacred Heart (5-1)
The battle for second place in the league is still ongoing. The Saline County Showdown between Sacred Heart and Southeast could go a long way to decide second. Southeast hopes to be healthy for this game, the Trojans were missing a dozen players last Friday.
Sacred Heart continued their impressive season last week, hammering Russell 60-12. Southeast has won the last three meetings by an average margin of victory of 31 points. However, this is a rivalry game with league implications and the first week of district play, should be a good one.
Countdown to Kick-off starts at 6:30 on 99KG and Salina Post
Phillipsburg (6-0) @ Beloit (6-0)

Norton (5-1) @ Minneapolis (3-3)
This game features the “other” two teams in District 14 with Beloit and Phillipsburg. Minneapolis fell to the .500 mark last week, losing a tough game to Ellsworth 21-17. The Lions will have a tough go in what could be the toughest district in Class 3A.
Norton comes in, only losing to Plainville this season, and beating Class 4A Colby last week 26-23. The Bluejays have eyes on a district title and a Mid-Continent League title when they play Phillipsburg in week 9.
