2. How bad are today’s Republican Party when it comes to issues of the economy? Let’s just put it this way. If the election were held tomorrow and President Obama is re-elected, George Bush would still be the only President in the last 20 years to leave this country worse than he found it.

3. Last night I drove through a decent storm to get back to Salina- I get the feeling Saturday is going to be a good day for rain. Fingers crossed!

4. I have to admit, if it wasn’t for the fact that small dogs and neighborhood chickens keep disappearing, coyotes are pretty impressive critters. They take care of the rodents and, despite all of my efforts and the efforts of the locals to get rid of em, they don’t seem to let up. That is an adaptable creature- they may be a pestilence but I gotta admire them for that tenacity.

5. To the lady that gave me my wallet after it had fell out of my jacket- thank you! Ghetto Dillons isn’t all that bad after all.
