A Salina business had a outside storage area broke into between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

According to Salina Police reports, someone cut off a lock to a fenced area at Waters Tru Value Hardware at 460 S. Ohio and took about $1,000 in items.

A detail of the items was not available, and the amount of items taken could increase after an inventory is completed.
