With high unemployment, excessive deficits and low prestige in the world, this election keeps coming down to women’s rights and abortion. The Democrats have said the Republicans are waging a war against women, painting a picture of the Republicans keeping free contraceptives from women and killing unborn children. The point of this opinion is to get the female readers to vent!

In truth, if there is anyone waging a war against women it’s the government! Consider how most women are referred. According to the government they are called DEPENDENTS Dependent is defined as subordinate…forced to rely upon. My wife really went ballistic when the Air Force classified her as a Dependent. Then, there is the IRS who always ask how many dependents you have, and, of course one is a wife. The Distaff vote has always been prized by each party, and each party has developed a game plan that panders to the distaff vote. Promise them everything, promise equal pay, promise equal emplouyment, promise.. promise… promise. Ladies, do you remember the Equal Rights Amendment? Never came to pass did it? Where is the National Organization for Women? The only time the Dems and Reps give you the time of day is at election time.

This administration has given lip service when it comes to equal pay and of course the items in The Health Act that provides care during pregnancy and the right to free contriceptives. It’s policies have also resulted in more women (single moms) being on welfare and food stamps, and unemployed.

I think your dad, may have known what he was saying when he told you “no man will love or care for you like your dad.” The government cannot be your dad, but that is what it wants you to believe. It wants you to be dependent, and it keeps making your day to day life so difficult, you have to turn to the government to survive.

Your decision, come election day, is to decide if you want to remain a dependent or become independent. To coin a phrase, “Unchain these women!” This administration wants to keep you in chains. They keep promising you more and more benefits and entitlements. They keep buying your vote and keeping you in chains.

It’s time to tell your side.
