A 42-year-old Halstead man has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatality accident in February.
Troy Mietler is also charged with aggravated battery and DUI for the same accident. He made an appearance around 11 am Friday morning, where he was read the formal complaint.
On February 10th, Meitler crossed the center line with his vehicle and struck another vehicle head-on. The driver of that vehicle, 49-year-old Brian Bush was killed instantly. A passenger, 50-year-old Annette Bush, was badly injured and taken to a Wichita hospital where she later died.
The accident occurred on U-S 50, about 3-miles west of Abbyville.
Mietler posted bail of $60,000 and will be back in court as part of a waiver-status docket on December 11.
