vet_ffffffCurtis D. Fulton, of Salina, passed away 12/12/12, at the age of 90. Curtis was born in Talmage to Harry and Elizabeth Fulton on Dec. 26, 1921.

He farmed with his father until he enlisted in the Naval Air Corps in 1942.   After his honorable discharge in 1943, he continued to farm until 1966, when he entered the ministry of the United Methodist Church.

He married Helen Lampert on Nov. 23, 1943. They ministered full time for 21 years at the Florence/Aulne Charge and Grand Avenue in Salina.   After retirement, they served part time at the Kanopolis, Carnerio and Brookville churches. They enjoyed 10 years as “winter Texans” before becoming a part of the Eaglecrest Retirement Community in 2010.

Curtis and Helen celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Nov. 24, 2012.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Grand Avenue UMC, Salina, with a 2 p.m. graveside service at the Talmage Prairiedale Cemetery.   Memorials may be made to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Mission Aviation Fellowship or Gideon’s International.
