A Salina man was killed and two others were injured in a crash on I-135 in Hesston, shortly before 7 pm Sunday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Matthew J. Krier and two passengers were southbound on I-135 on the exit ramp to Lincoln Street in Hesston, when the vehicle left the roadway to the left, over corrected to the right and slid sideways. The vehicle then overturned on the embankment.
Krier was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with serious injuries. His condition was not immediately known.
A passenger 28-year-old Ronald J. Bacon of Salina was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he later died.
Another passenger, 34-year-old Rachel S. Forsberg also of Salina, was transported to Newton Medical Center with injuries. Her condition has not been released.
