UPDATED: Letter from Andy Martin to members of Salina media.

Dear Salina Media,

It is after careful consideration and with mixed emotions I have accepted a new work opportunity as the President and CEO of the Brazos Valley United Way in College Station, Texas. This has not been an easy decision for me; however, I believe this opportunity is a good next step for my career and for my family. I plan to start work in College Station in early February. My last day at the Salina Area United Way will be the day of the first board meeting of United Way, January 15, 2013.
I want to make this transition as painless as possible for all of us. I am working very closely Lynn Cooper, HR committee chair and Executive Committee to develop a transition plan to help have a successful start to your work in 2013.

I want to thank you, all past and all current board members, volunteers and staff for all your help and support over the last four and half years. We have made some wonderful progress advancing our community together. I wish you all the best and I am proud to LIVE UNITED with all of you.

Andy Martin

Executive Director

Salina Area United Way
