SOUND OFF

1. I wish the city would come blade the residential streets in the afternoon when it starts to un-thaw and get slushy. Instead it re-freezes and thaws over and over and just turns to a solid sheet of ice.

2. The FDA announced new regulations and mandates on produce. They announced it on Friday, as they are prone to do when they want to announce something they know the people won’t approve of- no one pays attention on Fridays. The regulations propose half a billion dollars worth of changes in hopes of decreasing the number of food poisoning related deaths from 2012’s toll of 3000. It also means small farms are going to get shafted by the big farm corps. We are in serious trouble here.

3. Everybody needs to watch the documentary “Gasland”. Fracking is going on in Kansas and it’s going to destroy our water.

4. I’m sick and tired of people not taking care of their pets. Isn’t it against the law to let your dogs run around without a leash? Somebody needs to give these people tickets.
