A couple from Salina were injured in a two vehicle accident on I-70 in Wabaunsee County at around 7:05 AM Tuesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Cheryl A. Tinkler and 58-year-old Jeffrey W. Tinkler, of Salina, were eastbound on I-70 when they attempted to change lanes from right to left, striking another vehicle that was eastbound in the left lane. Both vehicles lost control, striking the guardrails and then both vehicles re-impacted, coming to rest in the center median.

Both Cheryl and Jeffrey Tinkler were transported to Stormont Vail hospital in Topeka, with injuries.

Their conditions were not immediately available.

The driver of the other vehicle, 26-year-old Temairra L. Taylor was also injured, but there is no record of medical transport.
