HIRING: Field Supervisor

Position Title: Field Supervisor

General Summary:

This position provides leadership and overall direction for the Field Service Team to ensure customers receive the highest level of quality service during installation and repair of all Eagle Communications products.

 


General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of installs, disconnects and repairs meets specified standards and customer expectations
  • Perform regular job inspections and ride-alongs with Field Technicians to assess technical and customer service job quality and performance
  • Investigate theft of cable services to verify nature of loss and recover equipment
  • Assist in selecting, training, directing, monitoring performance of Field Technicians
  • Evaluate performance and make recommendations for promotion of Field Technicians
  • Review and process payroll, on-call rotations and expense reimbursements
  • Work with customers to resolve installation/service related complaints, regarding both quality of service and employee conduct
  • Provide direction and participate in the repair of major technical issues
  • Maintain and report on compliance in all systems of CLI, FCC and OSHA performance standards
  • Manage and monitor underground maintenance and line repair
  • Gather and provide feedback to management to maintain the integrity of the plant
  • Work with management to set departmental goals and develop/implement streamlined methods of operation
  • Ensure company compliance with safety regulations while promoting safety awareness among employees
  • Accurately maintain inventory and vehicle maintenance by rendering vehicle, tool and material checks for Field Technicians
  • Complete site surveys and related expense estimates for Commercial installations
  • Submit purchase orders to maintain appropriate quantities of cable installation and plant equipment in the warehouse

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to use a 28 ft extension ladder and climbing equipment
  • Ability to work in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics
  • Ability to lift 70lbs
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and fast-paced troubleshooting environment
  • Ability to work overtime on regularly scheduled days or on scheduled days off due to customer or operational demands
  • Able to work long hours under stressful conditions and deadlines
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Manipulate connectors, fasteners and wire and use hand tools.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, practices and terminology
  • High level of organization necessary
  • May perform all duties of technical staff, when necessary
  • Travels to all systems within assigned region


Qualifications:

  • One to three years supervisory experience
  • College degree or three years of relevant technical work experience
  • Excellent customer service, sales and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
