Sculpture Tour Salina announced the 2012 People’s Choice Award winner Thursday afternoon.

The winner is “Sweet Kisses” by Texas artist Marianne Caroselli.

The bronze sculpture was selected by popular vote among 24 pieces in the 2012 exhibition in Salina’s downtown Lee District.

The top three vote getters were separated by 12 votes.

The sculpture was purchased by the city of Salina for $7,500 and will be placed at Oakdale Park.

Sculpture Tour Salina 2013 will unveil 28 new sculpture pieces on May 18th with an event downtown between 3:00pm and 6:00pm.
