UPDATE 10:26 PM: We do not expect to be able to confirm or disprove any of the reports we have been receiving, until tomorrow morning’s media briefing.
UPDATE 7:56 PM: Authorities still investigating numerous reports of suspicious activity or suspicious persons around the area.
UPDATE 5:14 PM: Authorities were reportedly looking for a vehicle with a male occupant matching the description of Brown, in between Solomon and New Cambria. A house in Solomon has also reportedly been searched.
UPDATE 3:13 PM: Officials at USD 393 Solomon have announced that students who walk home will need to be picked up at the school as a precautionary measure.
Brown was thought to have contacts in Solomon, although he has not been spotted there.
UPDATE 1:52 PM: Authorities have searched storage units and a building at undisclosed locations in Salina.
UPDATE 12:11 PM: Police continue investigating suspicious persons calls across Salina. U.S. Marshalls now involved in search.

UPDATE 11:09 AM: According to Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski, Brown was able to escape through a door that was unlocked to a holding cell in the booking area of the jail. He then left out of a garage door that was left open.
UPDATE: 10:22 AM: An officer has requested a K-9 unit from the KHP. No details on location. (Request for K-9 cancelled).

UPDATE 9:23 AM: Message from USD 305 — Salina USD 305 schools are on heightened security in response to the police search underway in Salina. Doors in school buildings are locked and building entry is being monitored. Normal activities continue inside all schools.
Release From Twin Valley USD 240 schools are currently on lock down for safety precautions due to the escape of a convict from Saline County jail. If you need to enter the building please call 488-3321 (BHS), 488-3323 (BGS) or 283-4774 (Tescott).
UPDATE 8:57 AM: According to KSN’s Matt Horn, USD 305 is on ‘heightened security’. We are working to confirm a report that Bennington schools are on lockdown due to the search.
UPDATE 8:38 AM: Citizen reported man matching description near I-135 and Schilling but police do not believe this is the escapee.
UPDATE 8:04 AM: Police are back in the area of Cloud and Bel Air after a citizen requested a search of a home in the area.

UPDATE 5:43 VIA AP: Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says Brown was brought back to Salina on Monday to prepare for sentencing Tuesday. The sheriff says Brown was placed in a cell in his department’s booking area and somehow got out.
ORIGINAL 5:14 PM: A 29-year-old Salina man convicted in the October 2011 death of a 14-month-old boy escaped from the Saline County Jail Monday afternoon.
Antonino Brown was last seen at 4:17 pm at the jail.
Brown is 5’11” 158 pounds last seen wearing white t-shirt, gray jail pants and crocs shoes.
Should be considered extremely dangerous. If seen, DO NOT CONFRONT,
call 9-1-1.
