In what many hope will be the last winter storm until next fall or winter, dropped much needed moisture on central Kansas early Tuesday morning.

The snowfall amounts around much of central Kansas was in the two inch range. Goodland in northwest Kansas received a little more than 9 inches of snow highest amount ever recorded so late in the season in Goodland.

I-70 was closed Tuesday west of Goodland into Colorado.

As is the case with every winter storm, there were numerous slide offs reported in Saline County early Tuesday morning.

One motorist on I-70 near Salina, lost control and the car slid in front of a semi, no one was hurt.

Several school districts delayed the start of the classes by a couple of hours.

Spring should make a comeback starting Wednesday with highs in the 50s.

Chances of thunderstorms and highs in the 70s expected by the end of the week.
