Woman Jumps Out Of Moving Car Early Thursday Morning

emergency lightsA 27-year-old Salina woman fearing for her safety jumped from a moving car early Thursday morning.

Lt. Scott Siemsen said between 1:00am and 1:30am the woman was a passenger in a car driven a man she knew, and they had been arguing and the man began to drive erratically in the area of Morrison and Montrose.

The woman opened her door and jumped out of the car and she thought the car was traveling about 30 miles per hour. The man continued to drive on.

The woman who lives near by went home called police and she was taken to Salina Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment of injures that included scrapes and abrasions.

Siemsen said police want to talk with the man, and it is possible he could face charges.
