During the June siren test it was discovered that the sirens in Oakdale Park, the intersection of Markley and Magnolia, and the siren located at the Smoky Hill Museum on 211 W. Iron where nonoperational.

Also, the siren in New Cambria is currently nonoperational.

Parts have already been ordered and when they arrive the sirens will be immediately fixed.

New Cambria citizens have set a calling tree up for an emergency situation if one should arise before the siren is fixed.

It is important that everyone have multiple ways of being informed of a potential tornado during the severe weather season.
