mil30602CULVER — Debra Sue Campbell Miller, 53, of Culver, died Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born June 9, 1959, in Norton, the daughter of Donal and Dixie Hawks Campbell. She was a waitress at several Salina area restaurants and had worked at BFR Metals and was a home health nurse with TLC.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wesley Moody.

Debra is survived by her husband, Bill Miller, of Whiting, Iowa; son, Bill (Souk Saechao) Campbell, of Overland Park; daughter, Dixie Starr Campbell, of Culver; paternal parents, Don (Glenda) Campbell, of Norton; maternal parents, Dixie (Blackie) Hejny, of Great Bend; brothers, Darin (Julie) Campbell, of Norton, and Deyton Hager, of Cambridge, Neb.; and sisters, Ani (Mike) Urban, of Paradise, and Cari (Robert) Readle, of Hays.

The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.

Burial will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Norton Cemetery, Norton.

Memorials are suggested to an education fund for Dixie Starr.

James F. Winters, 66, of Salina, died Monday, June 3, 2013. He was born Aug. 14, 1946, in Boston, the son of John D. and Eva (Graves) Winters.

In his spare time, he enjoyed being an outdoorsman. Camping, fishing and swimming are things he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

James is survived by his daughter; Karen Marie Winters; fiance, Cheryl McAllister; and kitty, Angel Marie.

A memorial service will be held at the Higher Praise Church, Salina, at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with costs of the funeral.

beltran__d_2_325x330vet_ffffffSGT David Beltran, 22, of  Fort Riley, Kansas, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013.

David  was born in Los Angeles, California on August 15, 1990, son of Pedro Luis Beltran and Maria (Montoya) Beltran.

David  was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral in Salina.  David was a Sergeant in the United States Army in Fort Riley, Kansas. He served in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Survivors include his parents; daughter, Bailey Beltran, of Salina; brothers, Luis Beltran and Pedro Beltran, Jr., both of Salina; grandfather, Manuel Beltran, of Mexico; grandmother, Herminia Rosas, of Mexico; and half sister, Maria Del Rosario Beltran, Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Agustin Montoya and Maria Luisa de Montoya; and cousin Jose Marcos Montoya.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, Kansas, at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7th,  with Fr. Gale Hammerschmidt officiating.  Interment will follow the mass at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Carlson – Geisendorf Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  A Rosary will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family of David Beltran for his daughter.
