A local company is seeking a General Manager for their I.T. services division. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing all operations of the Information Technology services including staff, revenue and expense management. Prior management experience is required, as well as prior information technology knowledge. This position can be located in Central, KS. Compensation is commensurate with experience, along with a competitive benefits package.
Essential Job Functions:
- Working across the organization to identify opportunities and develop product & service strategies that will maximize customer growth, increase revenue and build retention.
- Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.
- Develops a strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
- Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
- Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.
- Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external and internal contacts
- Participate in community organization and company-sponsored events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred: or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with standard business and database software (Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, demonstrated success in managing a complex workload with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Management proficiency in performance management, staffing, process improvement, including quality management and coaching
- Experienced in strategic planning, financial planning
