According to federal authorities the October cocaine seizure at the Salina Airport was part of large drug ring. The drug ring had allegedly been shipping cocaine from Los Angeles to Baltimore aboard chartered jets. The ring had been under investigation for 7 months.

A total of 14 individuals have been arrested on drug charges in connection with the investigation.

Over 100 lbs of cocaine were found aboard the plane in Salina.
