“No-Kill” Animal shelter near KC facing eviction

The Pet Connection in Mission, KS is facing eviction, leaving 100 dogs and cats with no homes. The Topeka Capital Journal reported that the shelter will be forced out if it cannot come up with rent for December.

The facility was previously buoyed by a veterinary clinic, but after the clinic closed this summer, the shelter has struggled.

The facility is open 10 a.m.-7 p.m. through the weekend and will be trying to place the animals, free of charge.
