Looks like marketers have turned up the controversy this year for potential Super Bowl Ads, which left Fox to rejected many of them.
One of the ads that was turned down was from the conservative comedy site called JesusHatesObama.com.
A representative for the site told Huffington Post it was founded by a man named Richard Belfry. On the site, people can order anti-Obama merchandise, such as t-shirts and hats. A block of text on the front page of the site explains, “do we really believe that Jesus hates Obama? Of course not! However, we do believe in freedom…as in the freedom to make fun of the Obama administration with novelty t-shirts…our products may be a joke but so are the policies of this administration.”
Another comes from the highly controversial AshleyMadison.com. The ad features the “discreet” dating service’s lingerie-clad message encouraging people to date outside their marriage. The slogan on the site is “Life is short. Have an affair.”
