My letter, “it’s never too early”, said Obama would launch his re election campaign during the State of The Union Address and use education as his main focus. I will say I was 80% right. I suppose that is why I decided to run for USD 305 School Board.

Mr Obama’s take on education and mine is totally different. The USD 305 School Board’s take on education is pretty much in line with Mr Obama’s, and pretty much in line with the NEA. In my two runs for school board I voiced my disleasure with the educational system and, if elected, I would do all I could to standardize curriculua in K thru 8 and the two high schools, and save money by having the same classroom books in all k-8 and 9-12 classrooms. No one was interested then, and I suppose that attitude has not changed. Let’s hope I am wrong!
