New York (AP) – Seniors dominated The Associated Press All-America team for the first time in five years.Jimmer Fredette of BYU, Nolan Smith of Duke and JaJuan Johnson, all seniors, were joined on the team Monday by junior Kemba Walker of Connecticut and freshman Jared Sullinger of Ohio State.

KU’s Marcus Morris was named Second Team All-American and K-State’s Jacob Pullen was named to the Third Team.

Fredette, the nation’s leading scorer, received all but one of 65 votes from the national media panel that selects the Top 25. Smith, who led the Blue Devils to a No. 1 ranking for 10 weeks this season, got 61 votes.

Fredette is BYU’s first All-America since Danny Ainge in 1981. Smith is Duke’s fifth since 2000; two of them were repeat first-teamers.

Sullinger is the seventh freshman All-America in the last five years.
