Police Captain Mike Sweeney says Mary Stout- Montoya , had the key to her 2008 Hummer taken out of an unsecured locker in the family locker room at the YMCA just before noon on March 30th.
The key was taken by 21 year old Jordan McMillan of 1301 Indian Rock Lane, and 18 year old Joseph Mixon 2536 Dunwood Lane, who then went out into the parking lot, unlocked the Hummer and took Montoya’s purse.
The purse contained $400 prescription sunglasses, $200 cash in addition to the value of the purse which is $60 , and the keys to the vehicle that are valued at $150. Total loss places at $860.
The keys and a wallet have been recovered. McMillan was arrested at his home Monday, and Mixon was taken into custody Monday at Salina Central High School.
Mixon also faces a marijuana possession charge, after a small amount of pot was found in his backpack.
