Don’t miss Kansas Wesleyan University Chamber Orchestra’s spring concert April 19, 2011!

The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. April 19 in Sams Chapel and is open to the public at no charge.

According to Conductor Ken Hakoda, the program will include classic favorites such as “The William Tell Overture” by Rossini and a tone poem (symphonic poem), “Moldau” by Smetana.

The concert will feature cellist Miranda White, a junior Music Education major from Salina, performing “Hungarian Rhapsody” by Popper. Hakoda noted that White recently won the first KWU concerto/aria competition.

The concert will conclude with a suite from “Star Wars,” Hakoda said.
