SALINA– The Salina Area United Way is partnering with McDonalds to improve lives and strengthen the community. Purchase any salad entrée at a Salina McDonalds this week (April 17-23) and McDonald’s will donate ½ (half) of sales to the Salina Area United Way and Salina Education Foundation to directly impact the community.
McDonalds has committed to donating 1/2 of Entree Salad Sales. Rather than donating a percentage of proceeds, McDonalds is going above and beyond to donate 1/2 of sales. “Half (½) will only cover our food cost. Many other expenses are not covered but we are doing this to encourage trial of our great salads and to Support the United Way,” stated Doug Rempp, Salina McDonald’s Owner.
Salina Area United Way’s mission is to “improve lives and strengthen the community through leadership, partnership and investment.” In this collaborative partnership with McDonalds we are improving the lives of Saline County residents by encouraging them to eat healthier while making an impact in the community by investing in the Salina Area United Way and Salina Education Foundation.
